Defra's draft policy guidance for National Parks - Feb 2010 Colton Parish Council has recently submitted a response to the draft of a new Circular on policy guidance and a 'vision statement' for National Park Authorities to 2050. Neither local councils nor their umbrella body, the Cumbria Association of Local Councils (CALC), were consulted, and the process only came to light a few days before submissions were due on 5th Feb. A number of local councils have complained, as has CALC and also the National Association of Local Councils (NALC). See Defra website for background, the draft document and list of consultees. See Colton Parish Council's response. See CALC's response. See Defra's reply to Colton PC's letter of complaint.
