Welcome to the Rusland Valley Community Trust (RVCT)

The Rusland Valley Community Trust (RVCT) is registered as a charity The purpose of the charity is to promote community activities and projects in the Rusland Valley and in the neighbouring parishes of Satterthwaite and Colton. RVCT has its own endowment. RVCT provides financial support for charitable activities. RVCT is not a church based organisation.

 The Trustees of the charity are:

Mr. Giles Wingate-Saul (who also acts as administrator).

RVCT funds activities on its own initiative but it also invites applications for grants towards facilities and activities of a charitable nature within the Rusland Valley, Colton and Satterthwaite areas. To this end RVCT has provided , or hopes to provide support to: 

 

·        The local school (school trips and facilities)

·        An Orchard Day

·        Oxen Park Cinema Club (film shows and film making)

·        Orienteering classes

·        Yoga classes

·        First Aid classes

·       Computer classes

·       Hedging classes

·       Walling classes

      ·        Digital photography classes 

·        Upholstery classes *

·        Craft classes (at Christmas) *

·        Flower arranging classes  *

·        Creative writing classes  *

·        The Globetrotters Club * (a series of travel talks which

                                          raise funds for disaster relief)

·        Handbell ringing classes  *

·        Alpine trough making classes *
